Lady Bulldogs end season at district tourney

The Lady Bulldogs' volleyball season ended at the 2C district tournament in Glendive last weekend. Their final overall record was 10 wins to 9 losses.

CCHS opened tournament play on Halloween with a tough match-up versus the Broadus Lady Hawks. The Lady 'Dogs lost the match in four sets; 13-25, 25-22, 17-25, 7-25. Junior Nasya O'Connor led Lady Blue in most statistical categories. She had two of the team's 3 aces, 9 of 24 kills, all six of the team's blocks, and 18 of 86 digs. Setter Danica Shepherd led in assists (19 of 20).

On November 1, CCHS downed the Lady Longhorns of Wibaux in four sets; 25-17, 25-16, 23-25, 25-23. Ayla Yates and O'Connor each had 3 aces for the Lady Bulldogs. O'Connor again led in kills (18 of 38) and blocks (3 of 4). Shepherd had 22 of the team's 25 aces and led in digs (16 of 51).

Later that day, the Lady Bulldogs' season ended with a three-set match loss to Jordan; 23-25, 21-25, 12-25. Kendra Tooke led CCHS in aces (3 of 6). O'Connor led in kills (10 of 20) and digs (15 of 64). Bella Jensen led in blocks (2 of 4), and Shepherd had all fifteen of the team's aces.
