CCHS Volleyball played three matches in Buffalo, SD on October 15th. The Lady Bulldog C Squad lost in two sets, 17-25 and 19-25. The JV 'Dogs also lost in two sets, 13-25 and 11-25. The varsity team lost their match in three sets, 12-25, 18-25 and 20-25. Nasya O'Connor had a team high in aces (2 of 4), kills (9 of 19) and blocks (2 of 3); Kendra Tooke had 10 of the team's 33 digs; Danica Shepherd had 14 of 16 assists.
The varsity Lady Bulldogs played a match at Plevna on October 17th. They won in three straight sets and the score in each was 25-10. Shepherd led in aces (4 of 12) and assists (15 of 17), Tooke led in digs (3 of 17) while O'Connor led in kills (9 of 23) and blocks (3 of 3).
On October 19th, the Lady Bulldogs played Terry in JV and varsity matches at home. The JV 'Dogs won a close match in four sets; 26-24, 25-23, 10-15, 20-18.
The varsity girls won an even tighter match that went all five sets; 23-25, 30-28, 25-12, 18-25, 15-11. Tooke led the team in aces (6 of 12) kills (13 of 44) and digs (13 of 49). Danica Shepherd had 23 of 25 assists. O'Connor and Bella Jensen each had 2 blocks for CCHS.
On October 21st, CCHS played C Squad and JV matches at home versus Baker. The C squad lost in four sets to the Spartans; 25-22, 23-25, 5-15, 13-15. The JV Lady 'Dogs lost in three straight sets; 10-25, 18-25, 8-15.
This Thursday, October 24th, the Lady Bulldogs will play the Forsyth Lady Dogies at home for Senior Night. On Saturday they wrap up their regular season at Wibaux. The Eastern 2C District Volleyball Tournament is set to begin on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st in Glendive.
