Make Him known
Hello God, it's me, Mara:
You know, Lord, an empty bench in the Park, so – had to try it out. Beautiful day, kids played nearby, then a lady a young lad walked by, took the next bench, busy chatting, enjoying the pleasant weather and their 'time together'.
The lad said, "Grandma, you'd have loved our lesson last Sunday. Our teacher posted several Bible verses. She said that the Lord had told her to help us kids to Make Him Known; it was fun, as most of us already knew John 3:16."
Grandma smiled, said, "Tell me that verse. Timmy smiled: "For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Grandma smile, hugged Timmy and said, "That was wonderful. I have a very special verse, too, Romans 10:9." Timmy said, "OH! I want to hear it, Grandma."
She said, "...that if you confess with your mouth that "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God has raised Him for the dead, you will be saved."
"That's a great one, Grandma! I know that Grandpa said and believed that, so did my Daddy; they got saved and now they're in Heaven with Jesus and some of our already departed family. I spoke it also and I believe IT – so I now have the key to heaven also, right?"
"Yes, Grandson, that's the key to heaven. We're meant to share that good news so others can go to heaven to be with our Creator, Jesus, and with departed family. Those who receive salvation through the death of Christ on the cross, we know have encountered the Messiah. Like John the Baptist, we too, can lift up Christ so others might be drawn to Him."
Timmy looked UP, said, "Thank You, Lord, guide me to help others know who You are". Then, they got up and left.
Love Mara
