JV netters secure comeback win versus Jordan

One of the most exciting junior varsity volleyball games in recent memory ended with a Lady Bulldog victory on September 26th at Ekalaka Elementary. The JV girls from Ekalaka dropped the first two sets of the match to the JV Lady Mustangs from Jordan 21-25 and 20-25. In JV action, the final sets of the match are usually played to 15.

Ekalaka won the next two sets 15-8 and 15-10. Back and forth action ensued in the fifth and final set of the match, as neither team could get up by 2 points. Eventually the Lady Bulldogs JV would win that final set, 20-19, taking a come-from-behind victory all the way down to the wire.

The varsity netters didn't fare as well against Jordan. They dropped three straight sets, 18-25, 21-25 and 22-25. As a team, CCHS had 5 aces, 19 kills, 7 blocks, 44 digs and 14 assists in the match.

This Thursday, Lady Blue will play in Broadus. On Friday, they are scheduled to play at Circle.
