Child find developmental screening at Ekalaka schools on Oct. 16th

Ekalaka Public Schools is hosting Child Find, a developmental screening for children aged 0-5, on Wednesday, October 16th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the grade school gym. This screening will help parents gain information about their child’s development and how to support their child’s progress.

Children aged 3-5 years will be screened in the following areas: Concepts/Thinking Skills, Motor Skills, Speech/Language Development, and Hearing. Children under 3 years will be screened by DEAP (Developmental Educational Assistance Program) either in person or through a tele-visit or phone interview.
