On September 12th at home, the CCHS Lady Bulldog netters lost three straight sets to the Broadus Lady Hawks; 14-25, 11-25, 22-25. CCHS had 2 aces, 16 kills, 2 blocks, 35 digs and 14 assists in the match. Nasya O'Connor led the team with 8 of those digs, 6 kills and one of the two aces. Kendra Tooke had 1 block and 1 ace and Danica Shepherd had 11 assists.
Lady Blue played in a tournament at Scobey on September 14th. In their first match, they dropped two straight sets to Froid/Medicine Lake, 9-25 and 23-24. Tracy Wilson and O'Connor each had an ace, and O'Connor had 8 of the team's 19 kills. Tooke had 9 of 22 team digs, Shepherd had 13 of 13 assists, and Bella Jensen had the only block.
Blue bounced back in their next tournament match with two straight set wins over Wibaux, 25-11 and 25-17. Shepherd had 15 of 15 assists and 5 of the team's 12 aces. O'Connor again led in kills with 5 of 18 and Jillian McGraw had both of Blue's blocks.
CCHS split sets with Bainville in their next match, 25-23 and 17-25. Shepherd led in assists (5 of 6) and aces (4 of 10); O'Connor led in blocks (4 of 4) and tied with Ayla Yates for a team-high 3 kills.
In their final match at Scobey, Lady Blue won two sets against Lustre Christian, 25-14 and 25-14. O'Connor had 4 of the team's 12 aces, 5 of 15 kills, and half of the team's only block. Wilson led in digs (2 of 6) and Shepherd led in assists (4 of 7).
This Thursday, September 19th, CCHS Volleyball will play a varsity contest at home versus Plevna. On Saturday, they travel to Northern Cheyenne. Next Thursday, they play versus Jordan at home for homecoming.
