Trista DeFrance is the new postmaster at the Ekalaka, Montana Post Office and says she is looking forward to her new duties, "I am very excited to serve my community, customers, neighbors and friends as Postmaster!"
DeFrance started her postal career in 2019 as a part time clerk in Ekalaka. She quickly moved into officer in charge positions before her promotion to postmaster.

DeFrance says there have been noticeable changes since she's started, including new equipment and changing mail volumes, and she's doing her part to contribute to the DFA plan.
"I appreciate the new technology that is being used throughout USPS to provide accurate tracking for our customers' parcels."
DeFrance was born and raised in Ekalaka. She is married with three young children, three adult children, and four grandchildren. When she isn't at work she can be found on her family's ranch where she helps with the cows, rides horses, and tending to other farm tasks, or cheering on her kids at their basketball games, reined cow horse competitions, 4-H and Future Farmers of America competitions and rodeos.
