Peter Alan Remmen

Peter Alan Remmen, 85, of Boise, Idaho left our presence suddenly August 6, 2024. 

Peter was born on March 11, 1939, in Baker, Montana to Margaret Leigh Remmen, and Roy Teman Remmen of Ekalaka, Montana. Peter graduated from Carter County High School and attended Montana State University where he studied architecture.

After graduating from MSU Peter enlisted in the Navy and served in Vietnam. Following an honorable discharge from the Navy, Peter moved to San Fransisco for a masters program at the University of California, Berkeley in architecture. Peter had a rewarding career in architecture and design eventually culminating as a partner in a firm in Boulder, Colorado.

In 1971 Peter met Jan Ashenbrener at a gathering in Denver, Colorado and they married in 1972. Peter had two children Manda and Nels.

In 2000 Peter retired from architecture and planning and moved to Idaho where he enjoyed guitar making and family.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Margaret Leigh Remmen, and is survived by his wife Jan Remmen, his daughter Manda Remmen, son and daughter in law Nels and Brianne Remmen, grandchildren Ivan, Claire and Lydia Remmen and cousin Jane Tanner.

A celebration of Life will be held at The Capitol Room at the Inn at 500 Capitol, 500 S Capitol Boulevard, Boise, ID 83702, Sunday August 18, 2024, from 2-5 pm.

En lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to The American Diabetes Association.
