Sports seasons starting

Carter County High School fall sports begin Friday, August 16th.

A Bulldog barbecue and open house will be held Thursday, August 15th at 5 p.m. All K-12 students and families are invited and all 7-12 parents and athletes are required to attend.

The first CCHS football practice will be on Friday, August 16th. Players should bring shorts and running shoes to the school and be prepared to run. Tenadore Kittelmann is again head coach this year and Eric Lovec is assistant. The first football game is scheduled for Friday, August 30th versus Plentywood. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Rowley Field.

The first volleyball practice will also be on Friday, August 16th. Glen Frye is again head coach. The volleyball team is scheduled to begin their season at a tournament in Sidney on Saturday, August 31st.

Activity fees to participate in sports are unchanged from last year at Ekalaka Public Schools; the fee is $60 per student for the school year. Adult passes to attend all sporting events are available for $85 and family passes are available for $200. Scholarships are also available for student activity fees.
