The Custer Gallatin National Forest offers free personal use firewood permits. You can pick one up at your local Forest Service Ranger District office or you can contact your local Forest Service Ranger District office to have one emailed or mailed to you.
The Sioux RD representative will be available for free firewood permits at the NRCS office in Ekalaka on August 15th between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m.
