Firemen's BBQ moved

The Annual Days of ‘85 Firemen’s Barbecue will be taking place at a different location this year.

Ekalaka Volunteer Fire Department members will be serving pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and beans at the future home of EVFD which is located at the corner of E. Cleveland and Chicago Avenue (behind the city park).

The barbecue will take place at the same time as usual, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 9th.

Proceeds from the free will donation dinner will go to the family of the late Mark Wright, a longtime fire department volunteer and former fire chief.
