Pet parade on Friday

The Carter County Fair board and T- & Casino are excited to see what the community comes up with for the fair’s pet parade this year. The theme for this year’s fair is “Carter County Fair, it’s a Jungle out There!” The theme leaves all kinds of possibilities for costumes so kids can let their imaginations run wild!

The event is scheduled for Friday, August 9th, beginning at 12 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Prizes consist of first place ($50); second place ($30); and third place ($20). All entries not receiving prize monies will be guaranteed $5 for showing an effort in making the event a success.

If you don’t have an entry, come anyway. An audience is important, too. See you in the jungle on Friday!
