Conversations with God

Hello God, it's me, Mara:

You know, Lord, listening to friends chatting about their Travel Plans is fun. They didn't seem concerned about the cost, travel agent, or where they'd stay!

"I like VACTION TIME," Julie said, "The best trip we had was on a ship along the West Coast, not sure of the cities we visited, back then but we liked the entertainment and the food."

Lia added, "Dave and I loved the flight to and from Honolulu, Hawaii. We loved the place where we stayed, near the ocean; plus, the scenery, oh – and the food. That was some years back, so I don't recall who all we visited, they've gone ahead of us, now."

We chuckled as Madison added, "Humm, they've gone on before us, right? Well, no worries about baggage, bunks, meals, even a map. Someday it'll be our turn to do that 'flight,' right?"

Rachel, all smiles, said, "Well, we're still here; Tizz and I have plans to visit an aunt and uncle a few states away. They live by a lake; Aunt Lil said we'd all stay in a cabin, we'd LOVE the beautiful view, as God has made beautiful mountains, not too far away and the clouds dance in the sky. Sunrise and Sunset are totally awesome. We can hardly wait, in fact, we'll be on our way in 4 days – Woo-Hoo!

"That reminds me of Aunt 'Jewel'" Julie said. "Last month she said, 'Our creator did an awesome job of creating land and sea, clouds and trees and you and me. I have travel plans – I'm ready to go! Please remember Ecclesiastes 7:2: 'Death is the destiny of everyone, the living should take this to heart.' She said that and the next day, she'd taken OFF! We knew she was ready to go, not like we are here, but ...well, you know what I mean, right?" We smiled, nodding our heads. Thank You, Lord!
