Get prepped now for this year's parade

This year's Carter County Days of '85 Fair and Rodeo is quickly approaching. With the fair only four weeks away, now is the perfect time for businesses, farms and ranches, churches, organizations and classes holding reunions to start brainstorming winning float ideas for the parade.

"Carter County Fair, It's a Jungle Out There" is this year's fair theme. The parade is scheduled for Sunday, August 11th at 11 a.m. Entries for the parade are due by Friday, August 9th. Late entries may be accepted, but will not be judged.

Floats can start to line up at 9:30 a.m. at Fruit Service and Repair and should be in place by 10:15 a.m. Entries can be submitted by calling or texting Mikel Fruit at 406-853-2117, or by emailing mjfruit@midrivers.com. An entry form with return address will also be printed in next week's Eagle.
