Please join us for the Carter County Range Tour. This year we have Dr. Tim Seipel, MSU Extension Cropland Weed Specialist. He will be discussing herbicide resistance in kochia and Palmer Amaranth. We will also have Dr. Clayton Marlow from the Department of Animal and Range Sciences. Marlow will be discussing the decline in our woody draws, especially our woody ash draws, and what we can do to improve our woody ash draws.
Attendees will meet at Carter County Even Center at 8:30 a.m. and convoy out to the Tooke Ranch. The tours will start at 9 a.m. at the Tooke Ranch and will go until about 11:30 a.m. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
Private and commercial applicator points will be available. Please bring a chair if you would like to sit during the talks. If you have any questions please contact the Carter County Weed District, and RSVP with them by July 19th at (406) 775-6278.
