Golf and trap shoot in Baker to benefit local

The 7th Annual Shots and Strokes, a memorial competition for late Baker resident Pat Harrison that pairs a golfer with a trap shooter, is set to take place this Friday and Saturday, June 21st and 22nd in Baker.

The Sons of the American Legion in Baker help host the event each year. This year, the group made the decision to donate the proceeds to Mark Wright of Ekalaka, and Dale and Sharon Buerkle of Plevna, to help relieve costs for battling cancer.

A calcutta for the competition will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday. Golfers and shooters may still sign up and get more information prior to the calcutta by calling 406-778-3166 or stopping in at Lakeview Country Club in Baker, .

The competition and a silent auction will take place on Saturday, with awards taking place in the evening.
