Local basketball camps coming soon

The 2024 Summit Basketball Camp will take place at Carter County High School in Ekalaka on Monday, June 17th and Tuesday, June 18th this year. The camp cost is $50.This year, boys and girls ages kindergarten through fourth grade are able to participate. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. both days.

Campers attending will learn fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shooting and defense. They will also play in 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 competition. Registration is due to the camp's organizer, Coach Kayla Olsen, by June 16th. Additional and contact information can be found on the camp's social media page.

A second basketball camp hosted by Ro Wiggins will take place at the high school on July 5th and July 6th. This 'gRow Camp' full of fun-filled skills drills is a nationally recognized camp that serves currently in 23 states.

Campers from fifth through seventh grade may attend for a cost of $80 from 10 a.m. to noon both days. Campers from eighth through twelfth grade may attend for a cost of $100 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Pre-registration for the 'gRow' camp is not required.
