Southeast Electric Annual meeting nears

Members of Southeast Electric Cooperative are encouraged to attend the 2024 Southeast Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, in the Southeast Electric Truck Shop.

Registration begins at 4 p.m. Burgers & Brats will be served at 5 p.m. The business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Dean Jardee will entertain during the meal and share his talents during the meeting. Manager Tye Williams will update members on cooperative activities. Board Chair Albert Paul will call for any questions that the membership may have.

Elections will be held for District 3 and 6, which are currently held by Michael Hansen and Karen Kreitel. Further nominations may be made by petition of fifteen or more members, acting together, not less than fifteen days prior to the annual meeting. Nominations by petition, received at least five days before the meeting shall be included on the official ballot. Later nominations received by petition shall be treated as nominations from the floor. The chair will also call for nominations from the floor for a period of one minute during the time for nominations. No member may nominate more than one candidate.

Members will enjoy attendance gifts and door prizes, which include tickets to the Medora musical and two grand prizes of $500 cash. There will be a "crafting station" and a movie available for all children age 12 and under.

All members attending the meeting are asked to bring the registration materials they receive in the mail. This includes a registration card and sometimes a voting credential form for organizations and ranch corporations. These documents allow members to vote and be part of the door prize drawings.

This meeting provides all members an opportunity to make a difference in their cooperative. Please plan to attend.

Please remember that Capitol Credit Checks are mailed at the end of May with the annual meeting notices, so do not throw the notice away!
