Let's secure our community's health: Support the Dahl Memorial Hospital levy!

Dear Editor,

I write to implore our community to rally behind the upcoming mill levy of $260,000.00 in support of the Dahl Memorial Hospital Association, Inc. This levy is crucial to ensuring the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our recently constructed facility, which faces daily wear and tear from the harsh weather conditions of Eastern Montana.

The Dahl Memorial Hospital stands as a beacon of health and hope in our community, offering essential services to all who seek medical assistance. However, behind the scenes, the integrity of our hospital's infrastructure is constantly challenged by the unforgiving elements of our region.

From blistering summers to bone-chilling winters, our hospital endures the full force of Eastern Montana's weather, leading to inevitable wear and tear on its physical structure. Without adequate funding for maintenance and repairs, the longevity and functionality of our facility could be compromised, jeopardizing the quality of care we can provide to our community.

By passing this mill levy, we can ensure that the necessary funds are allocated towards the upkeep of our hospital, safeguarding its structural, integrity and prolonging its lifespan. This investment is not only about preserving bricks and mortar but also about safeguarding the health and well-being of every individual who relies on our hospital's services.

Our hospital not only attends to the immediate needs of emergency care and our Rural Health Clinic, but it is also deeply committed to fulfilling our mission of offering enduring support and specialized care to our permanent residents of our long-term care services.

I urge each member of our community to vote in favor of the mill levy, recognizing the critical role it plays in sustaining the Dahl Memorial Hospital for generations to come. Together, let's demonstrate our unwavering support for our hospital and the vital services it provides to our community.

Respectfully submitted,

Georgia Bruski – Board Chair

Sheila Sherman – Interim CEO

Carla Dowdy – CMO
