The Carter County Predator Board is actively seeking individuals who may be interested in providing temporary part-time services in predator control in the county. The individual must hold a current independent contractor’s license with proper workman’s compensation exemption, must hold a valid driver’s license and must carry proper liability insurance. This individual will control the predators in the county by eradicating and or hunting coyotes and fox dens.
The contractor shall provide all equipment, supplies, and personnel needed for the eradication or other control measures deemed by him/her to be the best control measures for coyote and fox dens. He/she will work with the aerial hunter on an as needed basis to assist in ground work in problem areas as may be requested by the producer.
The individual must maintain a daily log to keep track of specific days as well as the number of predators killed, the property on which the predators were killed, property covered and time expended in control of predators.
The Contractor will be responsible to acquaint him/herself with land ownership of each landowner, be specific not to hunt on any property for which there is not current permission slips signed by said landowner. The contractor must abide by and honor any laws and regulations for hunting predators as may be outlined by the State of Montana and the United States government. Proof of proper licenses and paperwork will be required before the Board enters into any formal contract.
