EPEDC and SEMDC partner to boost small business financing opportunities

Eastern Plains Economic Development Corporation (EPEDC) continues to partner with the Southeastern Montana Development Corporation (SEMDC) to provide enhanced financing opportunities for small businesses in our community and the EPEDC 5-county service region.

EPEDC's Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Program offers qualifying small businesses access to low fixed interest rates and flexible payment options. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SEMDC, EPEDC can expand its reach and offer even more comprehensive services to its service region.

With SEMDC's expertise in RLF administration, we can better support our local businesses, fostering economic growth and vitality. We want to emphasize the collaborative nature of the partnership. By working together, EPEDC and SEMDC can bridge the gap between the banking and small business communities, facilitating deals that drive economic activity in the private sector.

Since 2010, SEMDC has provided over $4.5 million in direct loans to businesses, partnering closely with area financial institutions. EPEDC and SEMDC's collaboration highlights their commitment to economic development, focusing on cooperation rather than competition with regional banks.

Eastern Plains Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit to benefit the 5-county region of Dawson, Prairie, Wibaux, Fallon, and Carter County. EPEDC encourages, stimulates, and promotes economic development.
