Similar to the boys' game last Friday on senior night, the CCHS girls basketball team (no. 5 seed heading into the District 4C Tournament) lost to Jordan (no. 1 seed heading into the District 4C Tournament) by less than 10 points. CCHS was outscored by Jordan 16 to 8 in the second quarter and couldn't quite make up the difference in the second half. Also similar to their own games earlier this season, the girls out-rebounded their opponent (26-22) but lost the turnover battle (20-12). As a team Lady Blue shot 8 of 11 (73 percent) from the free throw line, 6 of 29 (21 percent) on two-pointers, and 6 of 14 (43 percent) from behind the arc. Kendra Tooke led Lady Blue in points (17) and rebounds (7).

The Lady Bulldogs wrapped up their regular season against the same team they will face this Thursday in the first round of the District 4C Tournament, the Lady Longhorns of Wibaux (no. 4 seed heading into the District 4C Tournament). In what was a very low scoring affair, CCHS lost to Wibaux, 25-30 on February 10th. Lady Blue out-rebounded Wibaux 37-30, and turnovers were quite even (20-19). The biggest difference in the outcome of the game may have been from behind the arc where CCHS was 1 of 17 (6 percent) while Wibaux was 6 of 33 (18 percent). Ekalaka went 4 of 8 (50 percent) on free throws and 8 of 35 (23 percent) on two-point field goals. Kendra Tooke led CCHS in points (10), rebounds (16), turnovers (6) and steals (5).

The District 4C Tournament is set to begin on Thursday, February 15th at Custer County District High School in Miles City. The Lady Bulldogs' first game is versus Wibaux (no. 4 seed heading into the District 4C Tournament) at 4 p.m following the CCHS boys' game.
