Dahl Memorial staff recently installed a race track down the main hallway as part of what they have aptly named “Drive to Thrive.”
Thrive refers to a new electronic medical records system that Dahl Memorial Healthcare is currently in the process of switching to — and drive refers to cars that each department has created to “race” down the track in the hallway towards completion of the changeover.
In other words, Dahl’s “Drive to Thrive” is a means of making a lengthy and complicated computer conversion a little more fun.
Now, staff are asking for public input to find out which department decorated/designed their car best. Beginning February 12th and continuing through Monday, February 19th, community members and Dahl residents are invited to vote on their favorite car design.
The department that receives the most votes will not only get bragging rights over their peers, but members of that department will also be treated to cranberry white chocolate scones. Individuals who vote will also be entered into a drawing where three lucky winners will also receive an enormous scone.
Vehicles are displayed by the front desk at Dahl where staff can direct all how and where to vote.
