Public hearing for water, sewer, and garbage Increase

1) Call Public Hearing Meeting to Order

3) Public Comment

Heather Brownfield was the only one here for public hearing, asked if we are getting anyone to do water work if we are increasing the water. Discussion was held, why no one is applying. Town has adds posted in Local paper and Indeed job services also increased wages. No more discussion.

5) Call Regular Meeting to Order

6) Minutes from last meeting (s): Andy moves to approve minutes with amendments Melissa second, no discussion 3 ayes and no nay

7) Claims Approval Melissa moved to approve the claims for the amount of $20,306.75, Andy seconded no discussion 3 ayes no nay

8) Reports of Officers:

a) Public Works Director Parts are trickling in, water meter should be here this month, fire hydrants parts didn’t all come in. Sludge from lagoon needs to be removed, need to research, how we can move it out.

b) Mayor no report

c) Attorney none

d) Council complaints a Council member received a complaint of too many trailer houses in town, street is better but not great

9) Reports of Standing and Special Committees:

a) Administrative (Clerk/Treasurer) Rabies clinic on the 11th, gearing up for tax season.

b) Law Enforcement n/a

c) Streets N/A

d) Library the December meeting was moved to Jan 3rd.

e) Fire Department/Committee n/a

f) Parks next meeting will be working on mill levy for park.

g) Pool n/a

h) Water/sewer Sludge

i) Landfill n/a

10) Presentation of Petitions and Communications: Mike Archer building Permit, Melissa moved to approve building permit Andy seconded discussion was had that permits have be approved before buildings are put in place. 3 ayes no nay

11 )Unfinished Business

a) Community Plan N/A

b) Pool Liner working on it.

c) Alex Lovec Central Ave Culvert discussion was had about making a ditch or adding a culvert across the county shop no action taken

d) EVFD Building/Property Lease is still waiting for proposal.

e) Tennis Court is waiting for some more research.

12)New Business

a) Resolution 2024-01,02,03 Water, Sewer & Garbage Mayor Buck Kratzer read resolutions out loud, Andy moved to approved resolution 2024-01 through 03 Melissa second no discussion 3 ayes no nays

13) Announcements Kamely will be gone Jan 19th to the 24th.

14) Next Meeting Date: February 7th @ 5 p.m.
