Oakley Spring recipient of Foundation Female Program

Dakota Community Bank & Trust recently announced Oakley Spring as the recipient of the Dakota Community Bank & Trust Foundation Female Program. This program was established to assist area youth in establishing their own cattle herd by providing an interest-free loan to purchase five bred heifers.

Oakley Spring, the daughter of Kelly and Torey of Ekalaka, has been selected as the winner of this year's Bowman scholarship. Oakley is currently enrolled in 7th grade. Through the program, Oakley will be able to purchase five bred heifers of her choice at the current market price with a structure repayment plan over five years. The program was established to help the next generation of livestock producers learn financial responsibilities while encouraging them to invest in the foundation of their livestock herd.

"We are thrilled to award Oakley with the Foundation Female Scholarship," said Dale Pahlke, President and CEO at Dakota Community Bank & Trust. "This program aims to support the next generation of cattle producers and empower them to build their own herds. Oakley's dedication and passion for agriculture make her a deserving recipient, and we are excited to see her thrive in the industry."

The Foundation Female Scholarship is just one of the many initiatives undertaken by Dakota Community Bank & Trust to support the local region and promote agricultural development. The bank remains committed to providing financial assistance and resources to local businesses, agricultural operations, and individuals while working to enhance rural communities.
