For this tournament, Friday’s games were a single elimination. We played Melstone and won 35 to 19. We were down by 2 points at the half and the girls came back and played tough defense and ran the offense for the second half. Samantha DeFord had 2 points, Alivia Foxley had 4 points, Maggie Eshelman had 1 point, Allie Shepherd had 10 points and Keli Melton had 18 points.

On Saturday morning we played Custer/Hysham which we lost 28 to 55. Samantha Deford had 2 points, Alivia Foxley had 3 points, Allie Shepherd had 15 points, Ayla Yates had 1 point and Keli Melton had 7 points.

Saturday afternoon we played Broadus for 3rd and 4th place, after the gym was evacuated due to what they thought was a gas leak. We were allowed back in the gym but played six minute quarters since we were so far behind in the schedule. We lost to them 22 to 29. Alivia Foxley had 6 points, Allie Shepherd had 3 points, Alya Yates had 1 point and Keli Melton had 12 points. So, this concludes the season for Jr. High. The 8th grade girls are playing more basketball for the high school team. It will be fun watching all these girls in the coming years.
