Southeast Electric Cooperative (SECO) continually looks for ways to give back to the community.
In July, Southeast Electric board members voted to donate over 1,500 pounds of fresh beef and pork to area food banks.
Each year Southeast purchases a market animal to help support local 4-H youth. This year, they decided to take that one step further by purchasing two market steers and a market pig. The cooperative then split the meat three ways and donated it to the Carter County Food Bank, The Powder River Food Bank and the Fallon County Food Bank. All three entities were excited to add fresh beef and pork to their freezers.
