CCHS defeats NCTS, Plevna

On September 19th, CCHS volleyball took on Northern Cheyenne Tribal School in a home varsity match. The Lady Bulldogs won handily in three straight sets, 25-5, 25-15, and 25-2.

Danica Shepherd led the team in aces (8 of 31) and assists (5 of 9). Kendra Tooke and Nasya O’Connor each had 3 of the team’s 12 total kills.

On September 23rd The Lady Bulldogs played another home match, this time against the Plevna Lady Cougars. The match had a similar result as CCHS won in three sets, 25-16, 25-15, and 25-15. As a team, CCHS tallied 16 aces, 25 kills, 2 blocks, 7 digs and 21 assists. Shepherd led in assists (14) and tied for the lead with Nasya O’Connor in aces (4). She also tallied one of the team’s two blocks; Kendra Tooke had the other. O’Connor led the team with 10 kills. Brynn Loehding and Tracy Wilson tied for a team-high in digs (2).

This Thursday CCHS volleyball travels to Forsyth. On Friday they are scheduled to play Savage at home.
