The Fallon/Carter Extension Office recently announced upcoming dates for the Ekalaka Range Tour, July 19th, and the Tri-County Weed Tour, July 20th.
This year, the Ekalaka Range Tour will be at the Carroll Ranch (Gabe and Stephanie), 2261 Hwy 323, about 23 miles south of Ekalaka on Hwy 323. The tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided by the Carter County Conservation District. Topics of discussion will include grass identification, water quality for livestock and people, portable water systems and electric fence systems.
The Tri-County Weed Tour will be at Randy Tunby’s place, located at 1881 Anticline Rd, Baker. The tour will take place from 2 - 5 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided by the Cabin Creek Homemakers. Topics will include grass identification, water quality for livestock and people, and weed control equipment and calibration. Pesticide points are available for both programs.
