Benefit well attended

The Mark Wright benefit was a huge success. As of Tuesday, over $17,000 has been donated. Ekalaka Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. members and area EMTs thank all who donated to and attended the benefit held on June 11th. It is heartwarming to see community support for an individual who supports the community.

Special thanks to Mary Denney who won the 50/50 drawing and donated her winnings back to the benefit; to Wagon Wheel Café for the use of their facilities and Trish Bishop for all of her assistance; to the numerous individuals who donated items for the silent auction; to the three little girls in front of the grocery store who sold bracelets for the benefit; and to Stacey and Aubri Ashbrook and Denice Strickland for their assistance.
