See 'Annie' on April 27th

Ekalaka Elementary students in grades 4th-6th have been working hard over the last few months in preparation for their performance of “Annie,” a musical with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and a book by Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production, based on the 1924 comic strip “Little Orphan Annie” by Harold Gray, opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years.

The last showing of “Annie” in Ekalaka occurred over twenty years ago when current Ekalaka Public Schools music teacher, Miss Whitney Hamblin, was a student/performer. Hamblin will be directing the production this time, with curtains set to open this Thursday, April 27th at 6:30 p.m. inside the CCHS Tuggle Room.
