The Lady Bulldogs struggled early last Friday at home versus the Lady Longhorns from Wibaux, but came out strong in the third quarter and eventually went on to win, 52-34. CCHS was down 18-22 at halftime before outscoring Wibaux 18-4 in the third. The Lady 'Dogs had a tough night from the field, shooting 13 of 45 (29 percent) on two-point field goals and 3 of 21 (14 percent) from behind the arc. Wibaux didn't fare well either, going 6 of 27 (22 percent) and 2 of 7 (29 percent), respectively.
It was rebounding and taking care of the ball that really made the difference in the game for CCHS. Blue outrebounded the Lady 'Horns 37 to 19. Eighteen of the 'Dogs' boards came on the offensive end. CCHS also won the turnover battle by a wide margin, 9-20. Nasya O'Connor had 16 points to lead the offense. She also tied with sister Tyra O'Connor and Heidi LaBree for a team high in rebounds (7). Annika Lunde and Elorah Amsler each had 9 points for the Lady Longhorns.

The Lady Bulldogs' game that was scheduled for the following night at Jordan was rescheduled to this Thursday, February 2nd due to frigid temperatures and poor road conditions.
On Tuesday, CCHS traveled to Baker for another non-conference matchup with their closest opponent. Earlier this season the Lady 'Dogs fell to the Lady Spartans, 30-71. Tuesday's game was closer, but Baker still won by 30 points, 51-81. Baker's Madison O'Connor was the high scorer in the contest with 31 points. Nasya O'Connor had 19 to lead CCHS. Codi Melton also finished the game in double figures with 11 points. Full stats for the game were unavailable at the time of publishing.

This Thursday the Lady Bulldogs will play their rescheduled conference game in Jordan. On Saturday, they are scheduled to play at home versus Plevna. On February 10th they will play at Terry before taking on Broadus for senior night on Saturday, February 11th. There is also a junior varsity contest scheduled for next Tuesday, February 7th at home versus Baker.
