COVID-19 Bivalent Booster Available | Call for an appointment. The updated Moderna booster is for everyone 18 and older. The updated Pfizer booster is for everyone 12 and older. It protects against the original strain and the Omicron variants BA.4 and BA.5.
Preventative Dental Care for all school aged kids | Public Health’s partner, Smiles Across Montana, will be returning to Carter County in the middle of October. This is a preventative dental care opportunity for all school aged kids including children who are home-schooled, attend a country school or attend Ekalaka Public Schools.

The Smiles Across Montana (SAM) mission is to improve the oral health outcomes of Montanans. They believe that everyone deserves access to equitable preventive services. SAM can provide dental care including; exams, cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, oral health demos, x-rays that are necessary and prescribed by a dentist. Flu clinic events | Don’t forget flu clinic’s are being held on October 21st at Carter County Museum’s parking lot and on October 22nd at the Alzada Fire Hall. There is no cost for the flu shot. Patients are asked to bring their insurance card. The shot can be given to anyone 6 months or older. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by parent.
COVID-19 Home Test Kits | Carter County Public Health has a limited quantity of COVID-19 at home test kits for residents. These are easy to use and provide quick results in 15-30 minutes.
