This year’s Carter County Days of ‘85 parade is quickly approaching. With the fair only three weeks away, now is the time for businesses, farms and ranches, churches, organizations and classes holding reunions to start brainstorming float ideas.
“Carter County: Where the West Was Won” is this year’s fair and parade theme. The parade is scheduled for Sunday, August 14 at 11 a.m. Entries for the parade are due by Friday, August 12. Late entries may be accepted, but will not be judged.
Floats can start to line up at 9:30 a.m. at Fruit Service and Repair and should be in place by 10:15 a.m. Entries can be submitted by calling or texting 406-853-2117, or by emailing mjfruit@midrivers.com. An entry form with return address is also printed on page 8 of this issue.
