Students are required to print and bring the forms on the registration site under "Related Files" to the first day of class, along with their workbooks. Parents or guardians must sign the permission form and are encouraged to attend the first 15 minutes of class.
Class on Friday, July 22 runs from 6-8 p.m. at the Miles City FWP headquarters. Class on Saturday runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at FWP. Sunday's class runs from 8-4 and includes a field day at nearby Spotted Eagle Recreation Area. Students should dress for field conditions and for the weather. Bring sack lunches and drinks for both days. Students who do not drive will need transportation to and from Spotted Eagle on Sunday.
All hands-on firearm training is done with inert firearms including a bolt-action rifle, lever-action rifle, break-action shotgun, pump shotgun, and auto-loading shotgun. The goal of the course is to help develop safe and responsible hunters.
