Kenneth Bogner, R-MILES CITY, has filed with Montana's Secretary of State for re-election to the State Senate for District 19.
After a first term that included passing legislation removing burdensome regulations, protecting property rights, recognizing Montana veterans, and putting a data privacy constitutional amendment to the voters, Senator Bogner chose to run for a second term to build on the successes.
Senator Bogner will use a second term to continue working on electronic data privacy, protecting Montanan's Constitutional rights, and to use state policymaking where we can to fight back and hold China accountable when it comes to protecting our freedoms and way of life.
"I'm very proud to represent southeastern Montana in the legislature and will be forever grateful that the people chose me to represent them," Bogner said. "I would be honored to continue to fight for their Constitutional rights and freedoms for another term as their state Senator."
Bogner continued, "Not only do our Constitutional rights need to be fought for at home, we are under attack from abroad by Chinese influence. I look forward to spending another term making sure we are the most free and innovative state in the union to protect against those who want to destroy our way of life.
Following the 2021 Legislative session, Senator Bogner was elected Chairman of the Economic Affairs Interim Committee by his colleagues. During the 2020 election cycle, he was picked to join a gubernatorial campaign as the lieutenant governor candidate.
Senator Bogner also served in the United States Marine Corps, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a recipient of the 2021 Montana Governor's Veteran Commendation.
The primary election is June 7, 2022. The general election will occur on November 2, 2022.
