Carter County adding new safety notification system

Carter County is now teaming up with Fallon County and Wibaux County to promote signing up on "CodeRED."

CodeRED is a free community notification system available to local residents that will send alerts concerning time-sensitive and/or emergency information that may impact the area. This can be done through all communication devices including cell phones, emails, text messages and land lines.

Residents can now opt-in to their new "CodeRED" alert system by going to the Fallon County website, http://www.falloncounty.net/codered. Sign-up sheets are also available at the Carter County Sheriff's Office and Carter County DES Office, or by contacting Georgia Bruski, DES Coordinator, at 406-775-8721.

Bruski also asks residents to contact her regarding any questions about the notification system.
