Bulldogs play 3 in a row at home

Last Thursday the CCHS Varsity Bulldogs battled the Custer/Hysham Rebels, but fell just short of a win, 40-47. CCHS shot 3 for 9 on free throws; the Rebels went 17 for 26. Jaden Pardee nearly had a double-double, leading Blue with 17 points and 8 rebounds. He also had 6 turnovers. As a team, the 'Dogs had 18 turnovers, compared to 14 for the Rebels.

The Bulldogs lost to Melstone by 43 points on Saturday at home. Three Bulldogs, Ethan Frye, Turner Tooke and Wyatt Melton each had 4 rebounds for the Dogs.

The 'Dogs showed fight and never quit against Broadus on Tuesday night in Ekalaka. They were only slightly out-rebounded by a Hawks team that has a lot of height on the roster, 29 to 24. Broadus also won the turnover battle 12 to 16. Senior Turner Tooke, did though, win the opening tip over Broadus' Dillon Gee, even though Tooke is some 6 inches shorter. Broadus led wire-to-wire and won by 27 points. Tooke also had 7 rebounds and 8 points. Ethan Frye led Blue in the scoring column with 10.
