The JV boys basketball team lost by a final score of 29 to 63 at Broadus on January 7. CCHS out-rebounded Broadus 23-20 but had 21 more turnovers in the loss. Five JV ‘Dogs scored in the game. Kaleb Frye and Brayden Bucholz had 8 points each and Wyatt Melton had 8 rebounds. As a team, the JV ‘Dogs went 1-7 at the charity stripe.

Against Baker Tuesday, the JV boys lost 27-40. Blue was held scoreless in the first quarter. They had two points in the second, both of which came on free throws from eighth grader Kaleb Frye. The ‘Dogs showed fight by putting up a strong fourth quarter, scoring 18 and holding the JV Spartans to 8. CCHS shot 3 of 8 from the line; Baker was 6 of 12.
