Bulldogs drop weekend contests

The varsity CCHS Bulldogs went 0-2 on conference games over the weekend and lost to non-conference opponent Baker on Tuesday.

On Friday at Broadus, the boys lost 39-63. The 'Dogs shot 5 of 9 on free throws; Broadus went 11 of 13. Turner Tooke led CCHS in points with 9. Jaden Pardee led in rebounds with 9. Broadus' Dillon Gee led all scorers with 19 points.

The varsity squad lost by 23 in Terry the following night. It was a three point game at the end of the first quarter but CCHS was held scoreless in the second quarter and found themselves down by 20 at halftime. Turner Tooke and Jaden Pardee both fouled out during the fourth quarter for CCHS. Terry shot 5-14 on free throws and had 19 turnovers. Blue went 5-9 from the stripe and had 26 turnovers. Rebounding was even as both teams had 31 total.

On Tuesday night at home the boys lost to Baker. They were held to one point in the first quarter. CCHS went 4-13 on free throws (31 percent) while Baker was 9-15 (60 percent). Sean Wolenetz and Jaden Pardee each hit a pair of three-pointers. Baker's Cooper O'Connor was the game's leading scorer with 14 points. Full game stats were not yet available at the time of printing.
