All people entering the Carter County Healthcare Facility in Ekalaka will be screened at the front desk for COVID-19 symptoms and recent COVID-19 exposure and must wear a face mask while in the building. This includes, but is not limited to, those persons going to Dahl Memorial Clinic appointments, visiting family members in Dahl Memorial Hospital, picking up prescriptions from the Dahl Memorial Healthcare Community Pharmacy or going to the Carter County Public Health Department. Dahl Memorial provides surgical face masks to wear, but please bring a cloth or surgical face mask to wear if you have one.
At Dahl Memorial Healthcare Association, our primary concern is the health and safety of those we care for and those that work here. Performing the screening and requiring face masks dramatically reduces the risk that a person will transmit COVID-19 to another while here. In addition, the screening process and wearing of a face mask is required for all healthcare facilities by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
If you need to pick up a prescription and feel ill, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past ten days, or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past ten days, please stay in your parked car outside the building. Then call the Dahl Memorial Healthcare Community pharmacy at 406-775-8896 to inform the pharmacy staff you are here to pick up prescriptions but are waiting in your car for one of the above reasons. A pharmacy staff member will then bring your prescriptions to you in your vehicle. If you cannot reach a pharmacy member at the number listed above, please call 406-775-8730 and ask for the pharmacy.
Also, if you are due for routine labs and feel ill, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past ten days, or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past ten days, please call Dahl Memorial Clinic at 406-775-8730 and ask to speak with the clinic nurse. Depending on your situation, you may be asked to wait a short period of time before coming in for the routine labs.
Visitors are asked to call ahead to schedule a time to visit their loved ones at DMHA. Please call 406-775-8730 to schedule a visitation time with Sam Castleberry.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we all continue to work through this pandemic together.
