Visit Southeast Montana welcomes new staff

Visit Southeast Montana recently welcomed Cassie Solberg to the staff as Marketing Specialist.

Solberg is a Montana native, growing up on her family's farm and ranch in Denton. Because of her love for photographing Montana landscapes, she studied photography at Northwest College after graduating high school. After earning her associate degree, she moved to Billings to go on and earn a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and a Master of Science in Public Relations from Montana State University Billings.

Upon graduation, Solberg started her career as a communication and event specialist for MSU Billings. During her time there, she managed the university's marketing to incoming and prospective students as well as planning events for new students to preview campus. Afterwards she remained at MSU Billings but switched her career to work as an Outreach Advisor with TRIO. At this position, she worked with local high school students to break down the barriers that make higher education difficult to reach for low-income and first-generation college students.

Solberg will be taking over Visit Southeast Montana's social media channels, writing several of the blogs, photographing, as well as monitoring coverage of the region from publications around the world. She will also assist in administrative duties.

Solberg is excited to be a part of promoting the magnificence of Montana and to further explore the southeast part of the state she loves so much.

For more information, contact Brenda Maas, Director of Marketing for Visit Southeast Montana.
