Carter County Chamber of Commerce's Third Annual FestiFall will take place this Saturday on Main Street in Ekalaka.
FestiFall, a fun-filled family event to kick off the fall season, was originally named by current Chamber President Eva Grimes. Last year, the event was canceled due to COVID-19. This year, it will again coincide with the Willa Nies Memorial Volleyball Tournament.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street, families will be able to enjoy a pumpkin patch made possible by Ijkalaka Grocery and apple cider and hot cocoa provided by Southeast Electric. Local Taylor Kuntz is putting together a maze leading to the pumpkin patch.
The one and only Susan Tooke will be on site as a fortune teller and Jalyn Klauzer will be providing hay rides throughout the day. A photo booth from Shawna Martinez Photography will be available and Royce Moore is providing face painting for the kids.
At around 10:30 a.m., a distinguished panel of local judges will put their tasting skills to the test to decide the winner of a chili cook-off. Individuals interested in the cook-off need to contact president Grimes to enter. Chili will then be available for attendees to eat, beginning at 11 a.m. Carter County Museum is also hosting potato sack races, beginning at 11 a.m.
Bring the family out to FestiFall this Saturday in Ekalaka.
