The CCHS varsity volleyball team beat the Terriers in three straight sets to win their match in Terry on September 9. The girls won 25-17, 25-17, 25-9.
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs had 34 digs and 26 kills. Codi Melton tied with Heidi LaBree for the team lead in aces (3). Melton also led the team in kills with 6, while LaBree led in assists with 12 and had Blue's only block. Greta Barrett led the team in digs (8).
The JV squad didn't fare as well in Terry, losing in four sets, 22-25, 19-25, 15-9, 8-15. The team did, though, compile 20 digs in the match. Kendall Kittelmann had all three of the girls' aces and tied with Kendra Tooke for a team-high in assists. Kendall Shepherd and Tegan Williams each compiled 3 kills. Brynn Loehding and Barbara Rose Elmore tied for the lead in digs with 5 each.
On Saturday the volleyball team traveled to a tournament in Fairview. The Dogs went 5-5 on sets during pool play. Stats were not available from the tournament.
This Saturday night after the football game, CCHS Volleyball will take on Plevna for homecoming.
