Memorial Day service to be held at Beaver Lodge Cemetery

Area veteran organizations will be holding a Memorial Day service Monday, May 31 at Beaver Lodge Cemetery in Ekalaka.

The traditional ceremony was not held last year in deference to COVID-19 restrictions.

The service starts at 11 a.m.

There will be a picnic and social at Carter County Events Center following the cemetery services. The picnic is being sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary, which asks that locals who plan to attend the event bring a salad or dessert. The Auxiliary will provide meat, condiments and beverages.
