Join Southeast Electric in celebrating the cooperative's 75th year.
Southeast Electric Cooperative will host its annual meeting on Friday, June 11 at the large truck shop in Ekalaka. Registration will begin at 4 p.m., the meal and entertainment will be at 5 p.m. with the business meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Linemen will be grilling steaks and there will be salads, baked beans and dessert.
Entertainment this year will be the Hamblin Family. They will be playing and singing for attendees for the first time in twenty years.
Two trustee positions will be elected at the meeting. District 6 trustee, currently held by Karen Kreitel and District 3, held by Mike Hansen.
Throughout the meeting cooperative employees will be drawing for awesome prizes which include an electric pressure washer, an air fryer, binoculars, and two, $500 cash prizes, just to name a few. As always, members must be present to win. There are also attendance gifts for members and all children.
Keeping the kids in mind, there will be a bounce house set up at the triangle on Main Street for their enjoyment during the meeting. There will also be a drawing to win a boy's bike and a girl's bike for children up to age 10. Children ages 11 to 18 will have the opportunity to win a bluetooth party speaker.
Dawg House Pub has planned a street dance following the meeting.
