MSU Extension partners with USU Extension to offer master remote work professional course

Going to work, punching the time clock, and putting in your 8 hours has shifted to staying home, learning Zoom, and mastering communication from your home. Remote working was gaining popularity with companies across the United States prior to the pandemic, COVID-19 impacted the country to a degree that remote work became the norm. As COVID-19 hit the United States, companies had to start finding creative ways to get the job done. The lockdown taught us that for some jobs working remotely was the answer to keep the company alive during the pandemic. From tele-health to schooling to State offices being moved remotely, has shown a likelihood that the option for remote is here to stay.

With the knowledge that working remotely wasn’t going anywhere, the Utah State University (USU) Extension developed a course to help equip workers with the tools and skills needed to transition from on-site work into a virtual career. The University of Montana Extension saw the value in this course and decided to become a partner with the USU Extension, so that MSU extension can offer this course. The Master Remote Work Professional course is now being offered in Montana. The cost of this course will be $249. It is a 4-week course starting at the beginning of each month except for July and December no course will be offered in these two months. The course is one day a week for a one hour session. Montana participants will receive help finding a remote job after completion of the program.
