School district elections set for May 4

Regular voter registration for the Carter County High School, School District #1, #15 and #56 Elections to be held on May 4, 2021, will close at 5 p.m. on April 5.

Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a registration form by mail or by appearing before the Carter County Election Administrator. Voters who have moved or changed their name should update their registration.

Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the polling place in order to vote by requesting an absentee ballot in any election, or by notifying the County Election Administrator in writing of the elector's current residence in the county.

Individuals who miss the regular voter registration deadline may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office anytime before noon on May 3, 2021 and then also on election day before 8 p.m.

Two school district elections will be conducted by mail. The ballots will be mailed to registered electors on April 15th. Voters who do not receive a ballot should call the Carter County Election Department at (406) 775-8749.
