JV boys win at buzzer

The JV boys’ basketball team won on a last second ‘throw’ at the basket on Saturday in Wibaux.

The Dogs got off to a slow start and were down double digits in the second quarter before storming back in the third when they outscored the Longhorns 24-6. The game was tied at 40 as the finally seconds closed. Sophomore Tucker Tooke threw up a prayer towards the basket that somehow went in at the buzzer, giving the JV squad a three-point victory.

Jaden Pardee had 13 points and Brayden Bucholz had 9 rebounds to lead the way for CCHS.

The varsity Bulldogs lost by 16 in Wibaux. The Dogs shot only 10 free throws and made half of them. Wibaux, meanwhile, went 20 of 32 from the stripe. Longhorn Colten Miske had a game-high 22 points, 9 of which came at the line. Jaden Pardee had nine rebounds and Tucker Tooke had 3 steals for CCHS.
