Netters end season at district tourney

In first round action at the District 2C Volleyball Tournament in Glendive last weekend, CCHS defeated Terry in three sets, 25-22, 25-15 and 25-18. Ella Owen led CCHS with 3 of 9 aces, Codi Melton had 9 of 34 kills, Katie Tooke had 2 of 3 blocks, Kari Kittelmann had 21 of 71 digs and Heidi LaBree had 26 of 27 aces.

Late Thursday night, the girls took on Circle in second-round action and lost in three sets, 23-25, 22-25 and 11-25. Kenzie Tooke led the way with a team high in kills (9 of 29) and blocks (2 of 2). Kittelmann had 28 of 67 digs and LaBree had all 21 of Blue's assists. Codi Melton chipped in with 2 aces.

On Friday, the girls' season ended at the district tournament with a three-set match loss to the Broadus Hawks, 24-26, 10-25, 20-25. Melton again led in aces with 3. She also had one block in the match. Kenzie Tooke had 5 kills and one block. Owen also had 5 kills in the match. Kittelmann had 23 digs and LaBree led the team in assists with 14.
